Job Summary:
Experienced and detail-oriented SAP Basis Administrator with a strong background in managing, configuring, and maintaining SAP systems across landscapes (Development, QA, Production). Skilled in SAP system installations, upgrades, migrations, kernel patches, and performance tuning. Proficient in managing HANA, Oracle, and SAP NetWeaver environments, with hands-on experience in user administration, transport management, system monitoring, and disaster recovery planning.
Proven ability to collaborate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, system security, and compliance with best practices. Adept at supporting both on-premise and cloud-based SAP systems (AWS, Azure), and well-versed in handling mission-critical production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Here are 7 key responsibilities for an SAP Basis Administrator role:
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems across various environments (development, testing, production) ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform system monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal SAP system performance and uptime.
- Manage SAP transports and change requests to promote development and configuration changes across landscapes following change management policies.
- Handle SAP system upgrades, patches, and kernel updates to keep systems current and secure.
- Perform database administration tasks including backup, recovery, and performance optimization of underlying databases (Oracle, HANA, SQL Server, etc.).
- Manage SAP user administration and security roles, ensuring proper access controls and compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to provide SAP Basis support for project implementations, migrations, and troubleshooting issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in SAP Basis Admin and software development,
